Falling into Place (Lisa J. Perry)

It happens every year. The crisp cool air swirls in and replaces the warmth of our summer days. Gone are the lazy days, the leisurely moments with family. We usher in a new season-another beginning. Leaves change colors and ultimately fall to the earth readying the trees for a blanket of snow. It is at this time that we also shift and begin settling in and calming our souls.

We miss the sun kissing our skin and the gentle breeze passing by and yet, in this moment, we pause and reflect. We turn our clocks backward and we gain an hour of precious time in our days. It makes us appreciate every second of our beautiful lives. At times in our lives we have had to let go of comforts, say goodbye to love or something meaningful to us. We have had to bundle up a bit more to face the changes taking place. Some of them are painful and others are sheer magic.

Remember to fall with the grace of the seasons in your life. Do it with grit but don’t forget to be gentle with yourself, to carry the warmth in your heart and let your life represent a glorious newness. We don’t have to stumble. We can let the winds propel us and we can seek the bare tree upon which new beauty, new colors paint our life. Don’t be afraid of the fall. Face it. Welcome it. Color it with your strength, your beauty and your love and joy!
