BRAVE

What does it mean to be brave? For me it has meant so many things over the years. When I was young, it often meant not following the crowd. Later in my life it meant leaving a relationship that dishonored me and traveling this life alone. And recently it has meant taking a position in a new field that meant I would need to learn and grow personally and professionally. 

I look toward this Thanksgiving with such gratitude for all the moments that presented themselves to me and led me to a place where I had to choose to either be broken or brave. Each time, I chose to rise up, look up and show up for myself, my children, my dreams and my destiny. 

So here I stand today-strong, mended, blessed grateful and brave!
