Trust the Wait

It was nine years ago that I had no job, no home, and no idea what I was going to do to about my situation. See, I had just lost my job, my marriage had ended and I lost my home. With three children to think of, I had to kick it into gear and begin rebuilding my life. 

I was overwhelmed and felt defeated with so much up in the air. But I prayed for one thing...peace. And I looked forward to one thing...seeing who I'd be on the other side of the messy life I was living. 

I found myself second guessing my choices and then shame began to take up space in my head. But there were my children who needed me and there were people who loved me and wanted to see me succeed. I had to get moving. 

And moving I did! I started with a vison board where I could plant the seeds of hope and develop a way to see beyond my current circumstances. I then began journaling daily as a way to capture my pain and my my journey. Ultimately, I changed the narrative of my life andtold my story of faith, trust, and power. 

Now I see myself on the other side-mother, leader, warrior for women, and embracing the journey that continues as I greet each day with hope, possibility and joy!
